This Earth Day, we are celebrating what Adient employees have already achieved together:

Greenhouse gas emissions

• 42% reduction in Scope 1 & 2* greenhouse gas emissions since 2019
• Equivalent to removing ~15,800 passenger vehicles from the road for an entire year

Water conservation

• 67,559​ cubic meters of water conserved through FY25 improvement projects​
• Enough to fill 27 Olympic-sized swimming pools

Waste reduction

• 4,671​ metric tons of waste diverted from landfills via 609 waste-saving projects in FY25​
• Equivalent to the weight of ~467 African elephants

Energy efficiency

• 72.6M​ kWh of energy conserved annually through 575 energy-saving projects in FY25​
• Enough electricity to power ~6,700 average American homes for a year

Fuel conservation

• 13.4M​ kWh-equivalent of fuel saved annually through 99 fuel-reduction projects in FY25​
• Equivalent to taking ~900 gasoline-powered cars off the road for a year

​Renewable energy

• 30% of Adient’s total electricity came from renewable sources across 68 of Adient’s 200+ global manufacturing sites in FY25​
• Enough clean energy to power a city of ~50,000 homes

Total energy reduction

• 23 million kWh reduction in total energy consumption year-over-year in FY25​
• Equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of ~2,100 U.S. households

Scope 3 emissions

• 3% year-over-year reduction in Scope 3** emissions in FY25, preventing ~147,000 metric tons of CO₂e​
• Equivalent to the carbon sequestered by 172,000 acres of U.S. forests in one year​

Water savings

• 6% reduction in total water withdrawals year-over-year in FY25​
• Savings equivalent to filling ~59 Olympic-sized swimming pools​

Waste recovery

• 82% waste recovery rate in FY25, recycling or reusing 120,000+ metric tons of waste​
• Equal to the weight of ~850 fully-loaded Boeing 737 aircraft​

Carbon footprint innovation

• 6,000+ product carbon footprints analyzed with Adient’s proprietary Product Carbon Footprint Tool in FY25​
• Each analysis contributes to lighter, more sustainable vehicle seats

Continuous improvement

• 1,990 continuous improvement projects completed by Adient employees in FY25​
• An average of 5+ sustainability projects completed every single day​

* Scope 1 covers direct emissions from owned or controlled sources, while Scope 2 covers indirect emissions from purchased energy​
** Scope 3 covers all other indirect emissions across an organization’s value chain, both upstream and downstream, beyond its direct operations and purchased energy​
