Adient receives prestigious WBENC award for supplier diversity
Adient is honored as one of America’s top corporations for women’s business enterprises by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
PLYMOUTH, Mich., Feb 8, 2019 – Adient (NYSE: ADNT), a global leader in automotive seating, has been named one of America’s Top Corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

Adient was honored for its innovative supplier development initiatives, which include:
- Economically equipping women populations via purchasing goods and services from certified women-owned businesses
- Building capacity with women-owned businesses so they can effectively compete in the marketplace
- Having Adient’s preferred suppliers launch their own supplier diversity programs
Adient operates an innovative program to recruit and develop diverse suppliers. The company spends $1 billion or more annually on a Tier 1 basis with minority-, veteran- and women-owned businesses.
