At Adient, we’re committed to having a supply chain that mirrors the diversity of the consumers who sit in our seats. That’s why we expect our suppliers to incorporate supplier diversity best practices and objectives into their own supply chain.
The following expectations are required of all suppliers and are tied to our annual supplier scorecard and awards process:
Submit an annual plan to develop and grow your supplier diversity initiatives
Report quarterly diverse spend with a 5% goal
Designate a supplier diversity coordinator
Become a regional and/or National member of NMSDC and/or WBENC
Attend NMSDC/WBENC procurement trade show or networking event
Because growing a diverse supply chain is an Adient imperative, we conduct business training modules to help second-tier suppliers in their pursuit of higher productivity and profits.
