The essential elements of collaboration, teamwork, and excellence were celebrated during Adient’s 2017 Supplier Expectation Day and Awards ceremony held in Detroit. Honoring 53 suppliers from around the globe, the international quorum of businesses that help Adient produce more than 25 million seat systems in the past year were recognized for their outstanding products and levels of service.
“Each year we have the pleasure of honoring some of the very best partners we work with that help us produce and deliver our outstanding portfolio of seating systems,” said Kelly Bysouth, vice president, global procurement and supply chain for Adient.
“These relationships are key in delivering on our business strategy, including the areas of product innovation, customer satisfaction, and global growth.”
This year’s event featured two new categories honoring suppliers and partners in the areas of indirect products and services, and tooling, machinery and equipment. This expansion illustrates Adient’s commitment to recognizing outstanding performance in not only our direct material suppliers but among our valued indirect material suppliers as well.
Highlights of the event included an overview of Adient’s burgeoning aircraft seating business and a panel featuring Adient Chairman and CEO Bruce McDonald, Executive Vice President Byron Foster, Vice President of Global Engineering and CTO Detlef Juerss, and Kelly Bysouth.
