As our vice president of corporate development, Paul Van Hoof leads Adient’s M&A initiatives and strategic planning, as well as our continuous improvement, best business practices and manufacturing excellence activities.
Upon joining Adient’s parent company, Johnson Controls in 1991, Van Hoof has served in various roles including vice president of continuous improvement; vice president and general manager for the Automotive Experience Interiors group; and chief financial officer for the Automotive Experience and Power Solutions business units.
During Van Hoof's career with Johnson Controls, he planned and executed successful acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures. He led the formation of Yanfeng Automotive Interiors, the world’s largest supplier of automotive interiors parts, through a joint venture between Johnson Controls and Yanfeng Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd.
Prior to joining Johnson Controls, Van Hoof was a certified public accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He also spent two years with his family in Europe on an expatriate assignment and was an XLP sponsor.
Van Hoof serves on the board of directors for the Yanfeng Johnson Controls and Avanzar joint ventures. And he also serves on the executive committee of the board of junior achievement for the Michigan Great Lakes.
Van Hoof holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He and his wife, Tracey, have a son at the University of Michigan and a daughter at the University of Wisconsin.
