As Adient’s executive vice president, Eric helps cultivate strong customer relationships across our organization, in addition to overseeing our core competencies in metals and mechanisms, fabrics and specialty seating.
He also leads our China operations, as well the relationship with our Yanfeng Automotive Interiors joint venture, in which Adient holds a 30 percent equity stake. And as the leader of a newly formed Innovation and Marketing teams, he will focus on expanding our business beyond the automotive industry.
Eric brings more than 25 years of experience in the automotive sector serving in multiple regional and global leadership roles, spending nearly two decade overseas including nine years in Asia and nine years in Europe.
Prior to Adient’s separation from Johnson Controls, he served as the company’s group vice president and general manager of the Automotive Experience Division in China, and as the Automotive Experience vice president of finance and change in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In addition, he ran Johnson Controls’ Power Solutions European operations as well as serving as vice president and general manager for the company’s North American Building Efficiency business unit.
Early in his career, Eric held a variety of financial and operational positions for TRW Automotive, where he served as regional finance director for Asia and Europe in Asia.
Eric holds a duel Bachelor of Busineess Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in international business from the University of Michigan.
Eric and his wife, Rachel, have five children and are happy to be back in Metro Detroit, where he grew up himself.
